Above is one of my final photographs. I’m quite happy with how my final 6 photos turned out. :)
The photography course was a lot of fun and very interesting. Will definitely be considering it for an option as part of my second year media course.
Did my last pieces of editing last night and have discovered just how indecisive I am. I played around with textures to screen over the photos and how the colours should be and to try and get them looking a like but different at the same time.
I am pleased with how they came out. The opinions are the focus of all the photos. That was how it was always meant to be.

today’s class was very helpful as i have finally decided on an idea for my project. as the topic is “what we stand for”, i wanted to draw on different individual’s beliefs within a series of protraits. however, the twist will be that you will not see the person’s face. i will get the individual to write their strongest belief on the board and then they will photographed with the board infront of their face in a waist-up portrait.
we will be able to see their hands and the tops of their heads, but nothing more, and even the parts of their body that are shown, will be blurred out with the words on the board in focus.
i decided on this concept as it is common for people to judge a person before they talk to them. everyone judges each other, whether we like it or not. there is nothing we can do to stop it, it’s just a human psychological process that everyone possesses. so by not showing their faces and just showing their opinion/strongest belief on the board in front of them, we are able to value their opinion before we judge their appearance or what they’re wearing.
this way we can diminish the common misconceptions everyone has about certain stereotypes.
I am immediately drawn to the colour of the puppies’ eyes in this shot. The bright blue was the first thing I noticed. I love the effect colour can have in a photograph. It is the puppy in the center at the back of the photo, in particular, I am drawn to as it has one blue eye and one brown eye. There is no special significance in this observation, but it is interesting to see which parts of a photography people are drawn to and different things people notice.

I like the way the Eiffel Tower is positioned to the side in this shot but is still framed by the autumn trees.

I love how the light is captured in this. And also the angle it was taken at - the effect it creates with the trees and buildings make it seem that everything is larger than life.
